New Zealand win Adelaide Sevens but no time to relax

10:08 am on 4 April 2011

The New Zealand rugby sevens coach Gordon Tietjens says his side can't afford to bask in the glow of winning their first ever Adelaide tournament title with England still hard on the heels of the world series leading New Zealanders.

After beating South Africa 28-20 in the Adelaide final last night the men in blacks focus immediately switches to the final two rounds of the world series in England and Scotland.

New Zealand are now on 134 points with a 13 point lead over the second placed England, but Tietjens is well aware that even the smallest of hiccups at the UK tournaments could see them overhauled in their quest to reclaim the world series title.

The penultimate round in London kicks off on May the 21st.
