Injured Kaino rested in Blues' only change

The All Blacks flanker Jerome Kaino is being rested because of a neck problem in the only change to the Blues' starting 15 to play the Cheetahs in their Super Rugby match at Whangarei on Saturday.

Coach Pat Lam has named Chris Lowrey in his place and says Kaino's been struggling with the injury for three to four weeks.

Lam says it's not too serious with the player cramping up and it's got to the point where rest is probably the best thing.

The Blues have a bye next week, and Lam hopes Kaino will be back to play the New South Waratahs in a fortnight.
