All Blacks unlikely to play Japan in charity match

The All Blacks are unlikely to play a charity match against Japan, to raise funds for the victims of the Christchurch and Japan earthquakes says team manager Darren Shand.

The former All Blacks winger John Kirwan, who now coaches Japan, raised the possibility earlier this week but Shand says the All Blacks timetable is too tight.

The New Zealand rugby union announced last week the All Blacks would play a fundraiser game for Christchurch ahead of the tri nations competition, with the opposition and venue yet to be confirmed.

Shand says fitting in a second fundraiser match is unlikely.
