The New South Wales Waratahs rugby captain Phil Waugh has responded to a report of bickering in the camp by declaring the team is still pretty solid.

Waugh says the Waratahs' performance tomorrow against the ACT Brumbies in Canberra would show how united they were.

Coach Chris Hickey's expressed confidence that he still has the support of the Waratahs players following a Sydney Morning Herald report of player bickering and unrest in the wake of the heavy loss to the Crusaders and a surprise shock home defeat by the Cheetahs.

Waugh, who returns to the side after missing the Cheetahs game through injury, says there'd been a lot of soul searching following the 23-3 loss.

The newspaper said several Waratahs were shocked by one of the team selections for the Cheetahs game but Hickey does't believe he's lost the players support and says while the Cheetahs game wasn't a pleasant experience, he believes the team will become closer and stronger.
