Canterbury will be part of All Blacks World Cup campaign

The Canterbury region will be part of the All Blacks Rugby World Cup campaign, despite losing its seven World Cup matches including two quarter-finals.

The New Zealand Rugby Union's announced the All Blacks will train in Christchurch for five days in September, between their games against Japan and France.

The All Blacks manager Darren Shand says when it was announed last week that AMI Stadium wouldn't be hosting matches, because of the damage caused by last month's earthquake, they started making plans to take the team to Christchurch during the tournament.

The All Blacks will fly to Christchurch on September the 17th, the day after their match against Japan in Hamilton and then head to Auckland later in the week to prepare for the Test against France at Eden Park, on September 24th.
