Saudi prince wants in on A-League

2:33 pm on 24 March 2011

A spokesman for the Saudi prince Turki bin Faisal has confirmed the billionaire is "very serious" about investing in the cash-strapped A-League, although whether that translates into buying a club remains to be seen.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Prince Faisal has appointed a local consultant Tony Rallis to act on his behalf, but Football Federation Australia refuses to deal with Rallis.

The FFA's chief executive Ben Buckley has suggested they're well equipped to do a deal without involving a middleman, but the FFA has yet to contact Prince Faisal.
