Bin Hammam says he'll open up Fifa World Cup bidding process if elected

Fifa presidential candidate Mohamed Bin Hammam says he'll make the bidding process for future football World Cups more open if he is elected to the post.

Bin Hammam, the Asian Confederation president, will stand against current Fifa president Sepp Blatter at the end of May.

75-year-old Blatter has been in charge of world football's governing body since June 1998, and has not been challenged since 2002.

Blatter came under fire after Fifa's vote in December for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, which were awarded to Russia and Qatar respectively.

Bin Hammam, who is from Qatar, says he would try to open up the bidding process to avoid the allegations of corruption....
