Duminy anchors South Africa to win

The South African cricketers have crushed Ireland by 131 runs in Kolkata to reach the World Cup quarter-finals.

JP Duminy just missed out on his first World Cup hundredbut his sparkling 99

propelled South Africa to 273 and helped them become the first team to reach the last eight.

Fast bowler Morne Morkel and spinner Robin Peterson picked up three wickets apiece as South Africa made regular inroads to block Irish hopes of an upset.

Duminy also chipped in with a wicket with his part-time off-spin but it was not enough to compensate for missing a deserved hundred while unselfishly trying to gather more runs for his team.
