England on course for Grand Slam

7:57 am on 14 March 2011

England remain on course for a Six Nations Rugby Grand Slam after a scrappy 22-16 win over Scotland at Twickenham.

England scored one try and there were 17 points from the boots of Toby Flood and Jonny Wilkinson as Scotland's 28-year losing streak at Twickenham continued.

Victory over Ireland in Dublin this weekend would give England their first Grand Slam since 2003.

Wales, second on six points, are the only team who can deny Martin Johnson's team the title but to do so they must beat France in Paris next weekend and hope England lose in Ireland.

England's captain Mike Tindall accepted the Calcutta Cup trophy from his future mother-in-law Princess Anne.
