The Wellington Phoenix midfielder Maro Rojas says he has no regrets in opting to play international football for New Zealand over his Chilean heritage.
The 19-year-old is one of six newcomers in an extended 30 strong All Whites squad for a two match tour of China and Japan later this month.
Rojas says it was a tough decision given his background - his father is Chilean - but says growing up in New Zealand and playing all his football here he feels more comfortable playing for New Zealand.
The squad will be reduced to 22 next week.
Meanwhile All Whites coach Ricki Herbert says he's still waiting on word from English premier league club Blackburn Rovers about Ryan Nelsen's availability although he says he'll enforcing FIFA regulations that say Nelsen must be released for national duty.
