The Melbourne Tigers' unlikely bid to make the Australian National Basketball playoffs became a near-impossibility last night after they were beaten by the bottom side Sydney Kings 95-86.
The Tigers are currently seventh, needing a string of wins and favourable results to make the top four.
The New Zealand Breakers can seal top spot ahead of the playoffs if they beat Townsville away on Saturday night.
