West Indies and Sri Lanka post warm-up wins

Ramnaresh Sarawan scored an attractive 123 including five sixes to help the West Indies to a 61-run victory over Kenya in their cricket World Cup warmup match yesterday.

The West Indies made 253 runs in their 50 overs and Kenya only reached 192 before being bowled out in the 46th over.

Sri Lanka, one of the tournament's co-hosts, overwhelmed the Netherlands by 156 runs.

Sri Lanka made 351-5 in 50 overs and bowled the Dutch side out for 195 in 48 overs.

Meanwhile Martin Guptill hit a century as the Blackcaps defeated Ireland by 32 runs in their warm-up match.
