NZ Cricket clears Southee of misbehaviour on World Cup flight

7:14 pm on 9 February 2011

The Black Caps team management have cleared player Tim Southee of any inappropriate behaviour on board the New Zealand team's flight to the world cup.

New Zealand Cricket's refusing to give details of the incident but team manager manager Dave Currie investigated the matter during the side's stopover in Dubai following a complaint about Southee's behaviour on the flight from Sydney.

Currie says Southee met a female passenger and spent some time with her.

However he says he's spoken Southee and other team members and is confident nothing inappropriate happened.

The Black Caps are now en route to India and due to arrive in Mumbai later tonight.
