The Melbourne Tigers put a week of turmoil behind them with a 93-72 victory over the Wollongong Hawks at the The Cage in their ANBL basketball clash on Sunday night.

Corey 'Homicide' Williams was the maestro for the Tigers, finishing with 19 points, four rebounds and 11 assists.

The Hawks welcomed back Glen Saville from injury for the match, but it wasn't enough to stop Wollongong losing their ninth straight game.

Also on Sunday the Gold Coast Blaze recorded a 78-75 win over the Perth Wildcats at Challenge Stadium to celebrate James Harvey's 300th ANBL appearance and keep their playoff hopes alive.

The win improves Gold Coast's record on the season to 9-11 and leaves them two games behind the fourth-placed Townsville Crocodiles.

The loss is the Wildcats' third in-a-row but Perth are still well in the playoff mix in third place.
