Black Caps' Cup squad all but picked

11:55 am on 1 February 2011

New Zealand Cricket's chairman of selectors Mark Greatbatch has confirmed they've all but finalised their final World Cup squad, with the 12 picked for the fourth one day international against Pakistan in Napier close to the best available.

Skipper Dan Vettori and batsmen Jesse Ryder and Kane Williamson return for Luke Woodcock, Kyle Mills and James Franklin, with that trio released to play for their provincial one-day sides on Wednesday.

It is the same 12 that was selected for the first two matches, except Williamson replaces Franklin.

Jacob Oram's likely to be 12th man as the selectors go for a batsman-heavy lineup at McLean Park.
