The Melbourne Victory skipper Kevin Muscat was sent off as Melbourne Heart fought back from two goals down for a 2-2 draw in in their A-League football derby.
Two John Aloisi goals pulled Heart out of a deep hole after they trailed 2-0 after 32 minutes and the result ensured both Melbourne clubs remain in finals contention.
But in front of more than 32,000 fans, the heat of the derby claimed Muscat - sent off for the second time in successive matches for a crude, late and high challenge which could leave Heart midfielder Adrian Zahra out of the game for 12 months with a knee injury.
The Victory are fifth and the Heart sixth.
All Whites striker Shane Smeltz got on the score sheet as fourth-placed Gold Coast beat Newcastle 5-1.
