Injured Williams says still great tennis left in her

The former tennis world number one Venus Williams says she's never thought about calling it quits despite injury setbacks like the one that forced her early exit from the Australian Open.

The 30-year-old's third round clash with German Andrea Petkovic lasted just seven minutes before Williams, who had injured her groin in her previous match, indicated she could not continue.

But despite having also spent time sidelined last year with a knee injury, the American says there is plenty of great tennis left in her career.

Williams says she's still pretty good even when she's injured and she still loves the game and is going to focus on getting healthy.

The veteran says it was a disappointing way to be eliminated from a grand slam event, the first time in her career she has had to pull out of one of the majors through injury.
