Ryder and Styris picked up on day two of IPL auction

The New Zealand cricketers Jesse Ryder and Scott Styris have been picked up on the second day of the Indian Premier League player auction.

The Chennai Super Kings have bought Styris for just over $263,000 for the rich Twenty20 competition which begins in April.

Jesse Ryder's hitting power has been purchased by the Pune Warriors for just over $197,000.

Five New Zealand players were purchased on the opening day of the auction with the Rajasthan Royals paying over $1.3 million for Ross Taylor.
