English League Two football side Macclesfield Town has suffered their second tragedy inside a year, with midfielder Richard Butcher dying at the age of 29.
The club says Butcher died in his sleep and his body was found in his house while his wife was away.
The alarm was raised when he failed to turn up for training.
His death comes 10 months after then-Macclesfield manager Keith Alexander died.
Alexander signed Butcher five times during his career.
