Ancelotti fumes over festive fixtures

Chelsea's manager Carlo Ancelotti has slammed the Premier League fixture planners because his side are playing twice in three days over Christmas.

Ancelotti's team, who trail leaders Manchester United by three points, lost their vital match against title rivals Arsenal 3-1 on Tuesday and now welcome high-flying Bolton on Thursday.

The Italian coach is unhappy with the champions' workload.

Bolton hosted West Bromwich Albion as part of the traditional Boxing Day schedule, while Chelsea had to wait another 24 hours before their fixture at Arsenal as the game was shown live on television in England.

That means Bolton will have an extra day to recover before travelling to Stamford Bridge to face the Blues and Ancelotti believes that gives the visitors a significant advantage.
