The world number one Rafael Nadal has beaten Roger Federer in three sets in Madrid in the second of two exhibition tennis matches to claim revenge for his first match loss in Zurich.

The match between the tennis world's two biggest stars was played in front of a capacity crowd in the Spanish capital with local boy Nadal taking the clash 7-6, 4-6, 6-1.

Both players will now take a break over Christmas before heading downunder to prepare for the Australian Open in Melbourne starting on January the 16th.
