Selectors overlook Garerth Hopkins in preliminary one day squad

The New Zealand cricket selectors have left one veteran wicketkeeper out of their

30 man preliminary One Day World Cup squad and added another, discarding Auckland's Gareth Hopkins for Canterbury's Reece Young.

The other keepers are Brendon McCullum, and Peter McGlashan while the newcomers include the 18-year-old Central Districts medium fast bowler Adam Milne.

The other uncapped one day players are Brent Arnel. Doug Bracewell, Dean Brownlie, Rob Nicol and Luke Woodcock .

The squad is to be reduced to 15 players by January 19.

The Blackcaps play warm up matches against Ireland onFebruary 12 and India on 16 February 16 before their first World Cup match against Kenya in Chennai on February 20 2011.
