NRL wags finger at Rabbitohs over Inglis contract

5:42 pm on 18 December 2010

The ongoing saga over former Melbourne Storm superstar Greg Inglis and his next contract has taken another twist with the National Rugby League telling off South Sydney over third party payments.

The NRL's advised the Rabbitohs that the club must include the full value of third party agreements relating to Inglis inside the salary cap.

Souths now must tell the NRL how they propose complying with the $4.1 million cap next season, before Inglis's contract will be registered.

The club admits they're disappointed and disagree with the decision. Souths will assess the situation this week with NRL salary cap auditor Ian Schubert.
