Rangers held after Miller misses penalty

8:46 am on 12 December 2010

Rangers came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw against Inverness Caledonian Thistle that moves them three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premier League - but Kenny Miller squandered the perfect chance to claim all three points with a late missed penalty.

The result ends Ranger's 100 per cent away record this season as they blew the chance to move five points ahead of rivals Celtic, whose game against Kilmarnock was postponed due to the weather.

Later, Liam Craig's late goal sealed a 2-1 win for St Johnstone away at St Mirren while a Rudi Skacel double helped Hearts make it five wins in a row with a 5-0 thrashing of Aberdeen.

The Dons are now bottom of the SPL on goal difference.
