The England cricket coach says he has the depth of talent to replace the injured fast-bowler Stuart Broad and is confident in-form bowler James Anderson will return to Australia in in time for next week's third Ashes test in Perth after returning home for the birth of his second child.

The tourists start a three-day game against Victoria tomorrow at the MCG and Broad's potential replacements, Chris Tremlett, Tim Bresnan and Ajmal Shahzad are all in line to get some time on the pitch.

After taking a 1-nil lead in the five test series coach Andy Flower says he's confident Broad's replacement will bring his own unique qualities to the in-form England side.
