The Swiss tennis star Roger Federer has claimed the final silverware of the men's season after beating Rafael Nadal in 3 sets to win the ATP World Tour Finals in London.

The 29-year-old Federer, who has lost top spot in the world rankings to Nadal this season, produced a barrage of winners to take the season-ending title for a record-equalling fifth time.

Federer clinched victory in one hour 37 minutes when he landed his 32nd winner of the match.

In taking the title undefeated the 16-times grand slam champion walked off with the 2.1 million dollar jackpot.
