7:10 pm on 23 November 2010

The New Zealand cricketers face a heavy innings defeat on day four of the deciding third cricket test after losing seven wickets while scoring only 116 runs in the morning sesson at Nagpur.

The Black Caps went to lunch on 140 for eight after resuming on 24 for one, still trailing India by 349 runs.

But any hope of batting for the best part of two days for a third draw faded quickly when Pragyan Ohja trapped the opener Brendon McCullum leg before wicket for 25.

The leftarm spinner got Martin Guptill the same way before he'd scored, although replays showed the ball pitched outside leg stump.

The nightwatchman Gareth Hopkins followed for eight, Ross Taylor for 29, the injured Jesse Ryder for 22 and Kane Williamson for eight.

Tim Southee hit two sixes go to lunch on 13 with Andy McKay on three.
