The All Blacks have thrashed Scotland 49-3 at Murrayfield.

The visitors led 28-3 at half-time after Hosea Gear crashed over from a Sonny Bill Williams offload, then Dan Carter finished an Isaia Toeava break for a two-try lead inside 12 minutes.

Carter got through to throw the touchdown pass for the third try to Mils Muliaina before the quarter mark, then Gear got his second for a four tries to none lead.

Muliaina scored again nine minutes after the break off another offload from Williams.

The All Blacks coaches rang the changes for the last half an hour, Conrad Smith and replacement Andy Ellis finishing the scoring in the seven tries to none rout.

Elsewhere, England has beaten Australia 35-18 at Twickenham, South Africa beat Wales 29-25 in Cardiff, Argentina beat Italy 22-16 at Verona and Ireland beat Samoa 20-10 in Dublin.
