An arrest warrant's been issued for disgraced American cyclist Floyd Landis who's currently competing in the Tour of Southland.

Landis who was stripped of his 2006 Tour de France title for doping and his coach Arnie Baker have been ordered to stand trial in France for computer hacking.

Landis and Baker are alleged to have illegally obtained documents from the French Anti-Doping Laboratory in a bid to contest the American rider's positive test results.

Landis spent four years denying he cheated but eventually confessed earlier this year.

He finished 29th on the fifth stage of the Tour of Southland this afternoon and sits fourth overall.

The stage was won by Mike Northey in the Pure Black Racing team, while Jeremy Yates of the Share the Road team retains the tour leaders yellow jersey.
