The New Zealand Breakers basketball team have officially welcomed Kirk Penney back to the side, with the former ANBL MVP completing the necessary paperwork and receiving his clearance from the San Antonio Spurs.
Penney will be available for the Breakers' road trip to play the Gold Coast Blaze on Saturday.
Penny's clearance to rejoin the squad is timely as Leon Henry, the player who came into the Breakers while Penney was on his NBA trial, is battling a heel injury and is unavailable.
