The New Zealand golfer Bradley Iles birdied his last three holes to post an even par 72 on the first day of the season-ending Nationwide Tour Championship in South Carolina.
Iles is tied for 34th, six strokes from the lead, and he needs to improve 17 places on the money list to make the top 25 who will earn the right to play on the PGA tour next year.
