One of Australia's biggest bookmakers is warning potential backers of the Melbourne Cup favourite So You Think to be cautious until the field for next Tuesday's race is finalised.
Mark Read, a former Leviathan punter, is advising punters not to back the freakish four year old in pre-post markets, because he's not certain to start.
Read says if the winner of last Saturday's Cox Plate doesn't come up to speed he won't run in the Cup, and the only reason he will start is that it could be the last Melbourne Cup chance for his octogenerian trainer and owner Bart Cummings and Dato Tan Chin Nam.
