The former rugby league star Sonny Bill Williams says he's finally put his own self doubt behind him after being named as the only newcomer in the All Blacks end of year tour squad.
The Canterbury second five joins a host of recalled former Test players in the 30-man squad, which features the return of flanker Daniel Braid, wingers Sitiveni Sivivatu and Hosea Gear, hooker Andrew Hore and first five Stephen Donald, whose presence means there's no room for Aaron Cruden or Colin Slade in the squad.
Williams says he's battled a lack of self confidence to fulfil his dream of becoming an All Black.
