The three-time major champion Padraig Harrington stayed on course to snap a two-year winless streak, posting a second round 67 to lead the Iskandar Johor Open by one stroke.
The Ryder Cup star holed two long putts on his inward nine to take him to 13-under-par 131 at the halfway stage of the Asian Tour event, ahead of Taiwan's Lin Wen-tang, who carded a seven-under-par 65.
South Korea's Lee Sung, who scored a blemish-free 68 at the Horizon Hills Golf and Country Club in southern Malaysia, was third on 10 under after two rounds.
