Entire squad wins gold for Silver Ferns

The Silver Ferns captain Casey Williams says she wasn't entirely sure they'd actually won when Maria Tutaia scored the goal that give them the gold medal at the Delhi Commonwealth Games.

With the scores level after full- and double extra-time, golden goal would decide the final against Australia and Tutaia sank the shot that gave the New Zealanders a 66-64 win.

The match went on so long, but Williams says the entire squad stayed strong, none more so than Tutaia and it was a full-court effort including the bench and the management.

The result gave New Zealand its sixth gold medal of the Games and they finished 11th on the table with 36 medals in total.
