The New Zealand Breakers basketball team proved too strong for the New Zealand NBL All Stars in a final pre-season hit out at the North Shore Events Centre, winning 98 - 51.
The game was always going to be a tough proposition for the Kenny McFadden/Kenny Stone coached All Stars, who had just two training sessions together the day before taking on Andrej Lemanis' side.
The Breakers will take Monday off before embarking on their final week of preparation. They travel to Sydney late in the week to play the Kings in the opening round of the ANBL Championship on Saturday night.
The Breakers first home game is the following Wednesday, October the 20th, at the North Shore Events Centre against the league favourites and defending champion Perth Wildcats.
