PCB lifts ban on Naved

The Pakistan Cricket Board has lifted a 12-month ban and halved a fine on all-rounder Rana Naved.

Naved was one of seven players banned or fined by the PCB after a shambolic tour to Australia this year, on the grounds of misconduct and indiscipline.

Five of the seven players have since played for Pakistan, with the exceptions of Naved and former captain Younus Khan.

A legal advisor to the PCB, Talib Rizvi, says the ban was lifted because Naved had apologised for his conduct and served six months of the suspension.

Naved says it's a relief to finally be cleared of the ban, and he now just wants to focus on cricket.
