Sebastian Vettel took advantage of pole position to cruise to victory in the Japanese Grand Prix in a Red Bull one-two with Mark Webber, who stretched his Formula One championship lead to 14 points with three races remaining.
The 23-year-old German won comfortably despite taking the chequered flag just 0.9 seconds ahead of the Australian, his first win since June.
Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, winner of the two previous races, finished third followed by world champion Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton.
Webber now has 220 points to 206 for Alonso and Vettel.
