New Zealand is guaranteed at least one more Commonwealth Games medal on the cycling track tonight with Alison Shanks and Jamie Nielsen both riding for medal's in the women's individual pursuit in Delhi.

Shanks qualified fastest in the field with a time of 3 minutes 32.114 seconds and looks like New Zealand's best chance of a gold so far lining up against Northern Ireland's Wendy Houvenaghel in the gold medal ride.

Nielsen will race in the bronze medal ride against Canada's Tara Whitten, meaning New Zealand is guaranteed at least a silver medal, but could come away with gold and bronze.
