Aussies still too good at the velodrome

The New Zealand track cycling team admits to some frustration that they've been left to pick up the scraps at the Commonwealth Games velodrome in Delhi.

Australia has won 10 of the 11 gold medals on offer so far, while New Zealand has seven medals, four silver and three bronze.

On Thursday night the men's pursuit team and scratch racer Joanne Kiesanowski won silver and sprinter Sam Webster a bronze.

Head coach Tim Carswell says while they'd hoped for more, realistically Australia were favourites for almost all of the titles.

The last three gold medals are up for grabs tonight, Australia favourite for the men's scratch race and probably the men's team sprint, while New Zealander Alison Shanks and Wendy Houvennaghel of Northern Ireland are the favourites for the women's individual pursuit.
