Liverpool in crisis says Reds' legend

The Liverpool football legend Mark Lawrenson says his former club is in crisis after a dismal start to the season.

The Reds are in the Premier League relegation zone following their a shock 2-1 defeat at home to newly-promoted Blackpool.

That's left them with just one win from their first seven matches and Lawrenson, who won five league titles, one European Cup and the FA and League Cups in his seven years at Anfield, says there is little doubt the club is in complete turmoil.

He says the players are as much to blame as the new manager Roy Hodgson, who's already facing a fight to save his job.

Lawrenson sees few signs of an improvement as the Reds have been relying on their top stars for too long, and now the squad's mediocrity is being exposed.
