Tickets for AFL members go on sale

7:18 pm on 27 September 2010

Dozens of angry Australian Rules fans have been turned away from ticketing outlets in Melbourne in the mistaken impression they could buy tickets for the AFL grand final replay on Monday.

Forty-thousand tickets have been set aside for club members - double the allocation for last weekend's drawn grand final between Collingwood and St Kilda.

The Melbourne Cricket Grounds holds just over 100,000 people.

The AFL says tickets are available to members of competing clubs Monday and the public Tuesday.

Saturday's match finished in a 68-68 draw, just the third time in Grand Final history it finished level.

There is no provision for extra time, however there is for this Saturday's replay.
