Roosters march into NRL grand final

3:23 pm on 25 September 2010

The Sydney Roosters are one win away from completing a fairytale season after crushing the Titans 32-6 in Brisbane to reach rugby league's NRL grand final.

The Sydney siders finished dead last this year and if they win next weekend they will become the first team in more than 60 years to go from wooden spooners to premiership champions.

But the league's most valuable player Roosters five eight Todd Carney faces a nervous wait to see if he can play in the grand final after being put on report for a high shot on Titans half Scott Prince.

However nothing could put a damper on the Roosters night and halfback Mitchell Pierce struggled to put his feelings into words.

The boys from Bondi will play the winner of tonight's match between the Dragons and the Tigers in the final.
