The South African golfer Ernie Els has been voted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.

40 year old Els, the winner of three major championships, was quite surprised to learn of his selection, thinking you had to be a little more senior, but he says the honour has made his year.

Joining Els in this year's selection was former President George H.W Bush who helped raise golf's profile during and after his presidential term.
