Team NZ enjoy comfortable lead ahead of final Med Cup regatta

The final regatta of yachting's Med Cup begins tonight off Sardinia with Team New Zealand holding a commanding forty six point lead into the final competition.

Eleven races are scheduled over the five days.

Skipper Dean Barker says the team's plased with it preparation after three good practice days and finishing second in the only practice race.

With the Med Cup their's to lose tactician Ray Davies says while they won't be sailing il conservatively they won't be taking any risks.

Team New Zealand's closes rival is the United States syndicate Quantam Racing.
