Northland have beaten Otago for the first time at at Carisbrook since 1979.
The 13-8 ITM Cup victory came after the visitors led 3-0 at half-time with the match finally bursting into life in the last 20 minutes when Hayden Triggs scored a try for Otago to take the lead.
However Northland responded 10 minutes later and regained the lead with a try to Jarrod Payne.
It's Northland's fourth win and moves them up to seventh in the standings.
