Central Stags still winless at Twenty20 tournament

The Eastern Cape Warriors cricket team has made the highest successful run chase of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament, to beat New Zealand's Central Stags by six wickets in South Africa.

The Stags captain, Jamie How, top-scored for the side with 88 not out, and guided his team to reach a competitive total of 175 for 3.

But the high target didn't intimidate the South African side, and openers Davy Jacobs and Ashwell Prince shared a 147-run partnership to help the Warriors reach 176 with five balls to spare.

How says he thought the Stags had posted a pretty competitive score, but the bowlers found it difficult against the quality batsmen.

The Stags are yet to win a game at the Twenty20 tournament, with one pool match left to play.
