The New Zealand team doctor for next month's Commonwealth Games says in the end it is up to individuals to remain healthy during their time in Delhi.
Dengue fever remains the main concern at the moment because the longer than expected monsoon season has resulted in a mosquito influx in some places.
The organizers says they're doing all they can to eradicate the problem.
Doctor Lynne Coleman says 70 to 80 percent of the New Zealand team will be fully immunized and trying to countering the mosquito-born deceases wasn't recommended as it has too much affect on the athletes.
Doctor Coleman says the athletes will have to take a team approach to their everyday life in Delhi and think of the rest when it comes to their health to prevent any outbreak in the village.
