Arthroscopic procedure will determine whether Kahui needs surgery

The injured All Blacks second five-eighth, Richard Kahui, has undergone an arthroscopy on his right shoulder today.

Kahui re-injured his shoulder in Waikato's National Provincial Championship match against North Harbour ten days ago.

It was his first match back since suffering a small fracture of his right shoulder socket in the All Blacks' opening Tri Nations Test against the Springboks in July.

The All Blacks doctor, Deb Robinson, says the arthroscopic procedure will examine how much damage there is to the interior joint.

She says depending on what is found, Kahui will either undergo surgery, or just contiue his rest and recovery.
