The Team New Zealand manager Grant Dalton admits racing in multihulls has been difficult to come to terms with but they'll be ready for the next America's Cup in 2013.

This morning holders BMW Oracle announced the next regatta will use multihull boats instead of the traditional monohulls in shorter races with an independent race management.

The 2013 timing is a year earlier than expected, which commentators believe will help Oracle, who have had more time racing in multihulls, while others are still trying to develope boats.

Dalton says in the end it doesn't really matter....

The host city for the 34th America's Cup will be named by the end of the year.

San Francisco, where Oracle is based, is widely seen as the preferred venue, but Valencia and a port near Rome have also been mentioned as possibilities.
